SmarterQueue makes it easy to schedule and publish content to Threads. Whether you're sharing timely updates, sparking discussions, or repurposing engaging content, you can manage your Threads strategy directly from the Post Editor and track performance using built-in analytics.

How To Add Your Threads Profile To SmarterQueue

  1. Make sure you're logged into the Threads account you'd like to connect.
  2. Click the βš™ Settings icon in the top-right corner and go to Social Profiles.
  3. Click "Connect" for Threads.
  4. Click β€œEdit Access” and make sure all permission toggles are enabled to grant full permissions and avoid errors creating and publishing posts, as well as collecting analytics data.
  5. After all toggles are enabled, click "X" in the top right to close the pop-up.
  6. Then click "Continue as" to be redirected back to SmarterQueue.

How To Create And Schedule A Threads Post

  1. From the Publish view, click "New Post" in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose a Category to organize your post within SmarterQueue.
  3. Select your Threads profile as the publishing destination:
  4. Write your post caption. You can also:
    • Mention Threads profiles if needed.
    • Include a link in your post.
  5. Add media to your post.
  6. Choose your posting timing preference.
  7. Set your post to Evergreen if you want to repurpose it.
  8. Click β€œSave Post”.

How To Import Content To Threads

SmarterQueue supports content importing from multiple sources to help you populate your Threads account with fresh content. You can import from:

  • Other connected social profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest)
  • External sources such as blogs, news feeds, YouTube channels/playlists, Google Alerts, and RSS Feeds

How To Import Content

  1. Navigate to Discover, then Find Content.
  2. Select your source from the dropdown menu.
  3. Browse the posts and select the content you want to add.
  4. You can choose Save Source to keep the source accessible for future use or set up an Auto-Importer (available for RSS Feeds) to import new content automatically.

Threads Post Requirements

Text & Mentions

  • Captions can include up to 500 characters max per tweet.
  • Mentions:
    • You can mention other users by typing @ followed by their exact username. Threads does not support searching for users when tagging.
    • The actionable @username will appear once the post is published.
  • Hashtags
    • To add a hashtag, type the # symbol followed by the topic (e.g., #SocialMedia).

Media Guidelines

  • Images:
    • Recommended Size: 1080 Γ— 1920 pixels (9:16 aspect ratio)

      Supported Ratios:

      • Square: 1:1 (1080 Γ— 1080)
      • Landscape: 1.91:1 (1080 Γ— 566)
      • Portrait: 4:5 (1080 Γ— 1350)
      • Maximum aspect ratio: 10:1
    • Minimum Width: 320 (will be scaled up to the minimum if necessary)
    • Maximum Width: 1440 (will be scaled down to the maximum if necessary)
  • Video:
    • Length: 1 second to 5 minutes

    • Frame Rate: 23-60 fps

  • GIFs are not supported

How To Check Your Threads Post Analytics

Track your Threads post performance to see what content resonates and boosts engagement. SmarterQueue lets you monitor metrics like likes, comments, and shares to improve future posts.

How To Track Individual Threads Post Performance

  1. Click "Publish" in the top menu, then select the "Queue".
  2. Filter for β€œPublished” on the left-hand side to review past posts.
  3. Use additional filters to refine results by social profileCategorycontentpost timing, and more.
  4. For each Threads post, track:
    • Likes β€“ The total number of likes received.
    • Comments β€“ Engagement in the form of user feedback.
    • Shares β€“ The number of times the post was shared.
    • Impressions β€“ The number of times the post was displayed to users.
    • Views β€“ Video views for posts that have a video file attached.

How To Analyze Your Threads Performance

  1. Click "Analyze" in the top menu, then select β€œAnalyze per Profile” from the left-hand side.
  2. Select your Threads profile from the dropdown.
  3. Pick a date range and click "Apply" to refine your results.
  4. The following insights will be available:
    • Total Posts Published β€“ The number of Threads posts published within the selected period.
    • Engagement Metrics β€“ Includes likes, comments, and shares.
    • Performance Trends β€“ Helps identify which posts perform best over time.
