What Is Evergreen Content?
Evergreen content is content that remains relevant over time, making it ideal for repeated sharing. Examples include how-to guides, inspirational quotes, tips and tricks, or blog promotions that continue to provide value to your audience long after their initial publication.
How Does Evergreen Recycling Work?
Evergreen Recycling automatically reuses your best-performing content by adding it back to your Queue after it’s been published. Here’s how it works:
- Publication and Recycling
- When an Evergreen post is published, it is sent back to the bottom of the Queue, ready to be published again after all other posts in that Category and Social Profile combination have been shared.
- Post Timing and Recycling
- Your Evergreen posts will follow the schedule set by your Posting Plan. If your content is due to be recycled, it will wait until the "Minimum Time to Recycle" has passed before being published again.
- Continuous Engagement
- By ensuring that your best content is always in circulation, Evergreen Recycling helps you maintain continuous engagement with your audience, even when you’re not creating new content.
How To Set Up Evergreen Recycling For Your Posts
- Create or Edit a Post
- Navigate to the Post Editor and create a new post or edit an existing one.
- Enable Evergreen Recycling
- Toggle the "Evergreen Recycle" option to ensure your content is added back to the Queue after it's published.
- Set Recycling Limits
- Customize your Evergreen settings by deciding how many times a post should be recycled or setting an expiration date after which it will no longer be reused.
- Save Your Post
- Once you've set your preferences, click "Save Post" to add it to the Queue. Your Evergreen content will now automatically recycle based on your settings.
Common Questions
1. What types of content should I mark as Evergreen?
Evergreen content is typically timeless and continues to provide value over time, such as tips, tutorials, or inspirational quotes. Avoid marking time-sensitive content as Evergreen.
2. How does the “Minimum Time to Recycle” setting affect my posts?
The "Minimum Time to Recycle" ensures that Evergreen posts are not recycled too frequently. Once this time has passed, the post will be eligible to be published again in the next available Timeslot.
3. Can I edit an Evergreen post after it’s been published?
Yes, you can edit an Evergreen post at any time. The changes will apply to all future cycles of that post.
4. How does Evergreen Recycling differ from recurring posts?
Recurring posts are scheduled to be published at fixed intervals indefinitely. In contrast, Evergreen Recycling reuses content based on availability in the Queue and the Posting Plan, allowing you to limit how often it recycles.
