X moves fast, and keeping up with your audience requires a consistent posting strategy. SmarterQueue helps you schedule posts to your X profile, repurpose content, and automate posting, so you can stay engaged without the hassle of manual updates.

How To Add Your X Account To SmarterQueue

  1. Ensure you are logged into the X account you want to connect in another browser tab.
  2. Click the ⚙ Settings icon in SmarterQueue and go to Social Profiles.
  3. Click "Connect" for X and follow the prompts to authorize permissions and connect to SmarterQueue.

How To Create And Schedule Posts To X

  1. From the Publish view, click "New Post" in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose a Category to organize your post within SmarterQueue.
  3. Select your X Profile as the publishing destination:
  4. Write your post caption. You can also:
    • Mention X Profiles if needed;
    • Include a link in your post.
  5. Add media to your post.
  6. Choose your posting timing preference.
  7. Set your post to Evergreen if you want to repurpose it.
  8. Click “Save Post”.

How To Import Content To X

SmarterQueue supports content importing from multiple sources to help you populate your X account with fresh content. You can import from:

  • Other connected social profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest)
  • External sources such as blogs, news feeds, YouTube channels/playlists, Google Alerts, and RSS Feeds

How To Import Content

  1. Navigate to Discover, then Find Content.
  2. Select your source from the dropdown menu.
  3. Browse the posts and select the content you want to add.
  4. You can choose Save Source to keep the source accessible for future use or set up an Auto-Importer (available for RSS Feeds) to import new content automatically.

Importing X Content via CSV

X Post Requirements

Text & Mentions

  • Captions can include up to 280 characters max per tweet.
  • Mentions:
    • You can mention X accounts by typing @username.
    • Usernames must be entered exactly, as X does not provide a search function within SmarterQueue.
    • The mention will become actionable once the post is published.

Link Previews

  • X automatically generates link previews based on metadata from the linked webpage. While SmarterQueue provides an estimated preview, the final preview may vary depending on X’s scraping behavior.

Image Guidelines

  • Recommended Size: 1200×675 pixels (16:9 ratio)
  • Supported Ratios: 2:1 (Wide) to 1:1 (Square)
  • Cropping: Taller images are cropped to Square on desktop and 16:9 on mobile.
  • Preview Size: 1200×628 pixels (cropped to 506×254)
  • Max Images per Post: 4 (Max size: 5MB per image)

How To Check Your X Post Analytics

Due to API limitations, we’re not able to provide post-engagement stats as of April 29, 2023.

You can still check some performance metrics for posts published before this date:

  1. Click "Publish" in the top menu, then select the "Queue".
  2. Filter for “Published” on the left-hand side to review past posts.
  3. Use additional filters to refine results by social profile, Category, content, post timing, and more.
  4. For each X post, track:
    • Likes – The total number of likes received.
    • Shares – The number of times the post was shared.
