Understand How Content Is Scheduled And Published

SmarterQueue automates your social media scheduling, helping you stay consistent without the need for manual intervention. You can use Categories and a Posting Plan to fully automate content recycling, or manually schedule posts for specific times.

Automating Your Content With Categories And The Posting Plan

Instead of manually scheduling every post, SmarterQueue allows you to set up a Posting Plan that automates your social media content. Here’s how it works:

  1. Categories

Organize your content by creating Categories (e.g., “Promotions,” “Blog Posts,” “Quotes”). You can customize the names and periods when they are active (should you need them to work seasonally).

  2. Posting Plan

Once your Categories are set up, use the Posting Plan to assign specific times for each Category and Social Profile combination. For example, you can schedule “Promotions” to be posted every Monday at 10:00 AM on Instagram and Facebook.

  3. Post Editor

When creating your content, keep in mind to select the appropriate Social Profile and Categories. Then, under “Timing”, make sure to choose “Use Posting Plan” and send your content either to the top or bottom of the Queue.

  4. Automatic Publishing

SmarterQueue will automatically pull content from your Queue based on the Category and Social Profile combination and publish it according to the times you’ve set for that combination in the Posting Plan. Posts are published in the order they appear in the Queue unless you manually change the order.

đź’ˇ Tip: Use Evergreen recycling to have your posts automatically reposted at a later date, ensuring your Queue always stays full and your content is shared multiple times. Additionally, use text and media Variations to keep your Evergreen content fresh.

Manual Scheduling With Flexibility: Control And Automation Combined

If you need more control over when your posts go live, SmarterQueue offers manual scheduling options. These options allow you to precisely control the timing of individual posts, but can also be combined with automation through Evergreen recycling to give your posts a longer life.

Manual Scheduling Options

In the Post Editor, under the “Date & Time” section, you can choose from the following manual scheduling options:

  • Post Now: Immediately publish the post across your selected social profiles.
  • Set Date & Time: Schedule your post for one or more specific dates and times.
  • Recurring: Set the post to automatically repeat regularly, such as daily, weekly, or yearly.

đź’ˇ Tip: Manual scheduling is perfect for time-sensitive or special posts that need to go out on specific days or at certain times. Explore scheduling methods and options.

Combining Manual Scheduling with Automation

You can extend the life of your manually scheduled posts by adding automation features:

  • Evergreen Recycling: When publishing a post using "Post Now" or "Set Date & Time," you can also set it as Evergreen. Once manually set dates are fulfilled, the post will go back to the bottom of the Queue for future publishing based on your Posting Plan.
  • Variations: For posts that will be published more than once (recurring, multiple dates, or Evergreen), add text and media Variations to keep your content fresh.

đź’ˇ Tip: Variations allow you to share the same post multiple times while offering your audience something new each time.
