How Does The Posting Plan Work?

Your Posting Plan is a visual schedule determining when and what content gets posted to your social profiles. It’s made up of Timeslots, set for specific dates and times when content from a chosen Category is published to selected Social Profiles.

When you add posts to the Queue, SmarterQueue uses the Posting Plan to automate scheduling them for publication, based on the Timeslots you’ve set up. This ensures that your content is published at optimal times, keeping your profiles active and engaging.

You can access the Posting Plan from the "Publish" section of SmarterQueue, alongside other essential tools like Categories and your Queue.

How To Set Up And Add Timeslots To Your Posting Plan

  1. Navigate to the Posting Plan

Access the Posting Plan from the "Publish" section in the top menu of your dashboard.

  2. Add a Timeslot
    • Click on the “Add Timeslot” button in the upper-right corner of the Posting Plan, or click directly within the weekly schedule where you want to add a Timeslot.
    • Choose the day of the week, time (within 5-minute intervals), Category, and Social Profiles you want to post to.
  3. Save Your Timeslot
    • Click the "Save Timeslot" button to add it to your Posting Plan.

đź’ˇ Tip: You can quickly create multiple Timeslots by duplicating an existing one. Click the 3-dot menu on any Timeslot and select "Duplicate". Then add your new Timeslots into your Posting Plan with just a quick click.

How To Edit Or Delete Timeslots

  1. Edit a Timeslot
    • Click the 3-dot menu on any Timeslot and select "Edit." From here, you can change the time, day, Category, and Social Profiles associated with the Timeslot.
    • You can also drag and drop a Timeslot to a new time or day directly within the Posting Plan.
  2. Delete a Timeslot
    • Click the 3-dot menu on any Timeslot and choose "Delete Timeslot." Confirm the deletion to remove it from your Posting Plan.
  3. Bulk Delete Timeslots
    • If you need to delete all visible Timeslots, use the "Bulk Delete" option found in the 3-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the Posting Plan. Be careful, as this action cannot be undone.

đź’ˇ Tip: You can use the filters on the left-hand side of the screen to narrow down the visible Timeslots before deleting in bulk.

How To Filter And Manage Timeslots

  1. Use the Timeslot Counter
    • The left-hand side of the Posting Plan features a Timeslot counter, which shows how much content you publish for each Social Profile and Category combination.
  2. Filter Timeslots
    • Use the filtering options to focus on specific Categories, Social Profiles, or both. This helps you review and manage your Posting Plan more effectively.
  3. Show out-of-season
    • Your Posting Plan automatically hides Timeslots for out-of-season Categories or paused Categories or Social Profiles to keep your view clean. If you'd like to see these Timeslots, toggle the "Show Out-of-Season" option to display these extra Timeslots.
