๐น๏ธ Add Alt Text To Your Media
Make your social media posts more accessible by adding alt text (alternative text) to your images and videos. Alt text helps people using screen readers understand your visual content, making your posts more inclusive.
With SmarterQueue, you can add alt text directly in the Post Editor when creating or editing posts, or save it to media in your Media Library for future use. Availability varies by media type and social platform.

- Open your Media Library and find the image or video you'd like to edit.
- Hover over the media and click the three-dot menu (โฎ) in the bottom-right corner.
- Select "Edit Media".

Common Questions
1. Why Can't I Add Alt Text To My Post?
Not all social platforms support alt text, and availability also depends on the media type you're using.
Check the platform compatibility table above to see which options are supported for your selected profiles.
2. Can I Add Alt Text To Videos?
Yes, but currently only for Threads video posts. For other supported social platforms, alt text is available for images only.
3. Will Changing Alt Text In My Media Library Update Existing Posts?
No. Changes made to alt text in your Media Library won't affect posts you've already created, even if you haven't customized their alt text in the Post Editor.
The updated alt text will be available when you use that media in future posts.
