How To Edit Posts

You can edit any post directly from the Queue.

If the post was initially created for multiple social profiles, you can now edit all of these related posts together, at the same time, within the Post Editor.

  1. Go to the Queue and find the post you want to edit.
  2. Click the 3-dot menu button in the upper-right corner and select "Edit".
  3. The Post Editor will open the selected post and all related posts (if applicable):
    • If the post was created for multiple profiles, it will open in "Customize-per-Profile" mode.
    • You will not be able to switch a post that was created for multiple profiles back to "shared mode" while editing. This means each social profile will be edited separately.
  1. Adjust Profile-Specific Content:
    • Use the collapsible bars to switch between profiles;
    • You can make edits to the text, media, hashtags, links, or any other component
    • You can also update Post Timing and Evergreen Recycling options.
  1. Add additional social profiles:
    • You can add additional social profiles from the dropdown at the top of the Post Editor.
    • New profiles will have collapsible bars, allowing tailored edits for each one.
  1. Save Your Changes:
    • When you're happy with the edits, click "Save Post".
    • The updated posts will appear in the Queue.

When you edit a post that was created for multiple profiles at the same time, SmarterQueue will automatically pull in the related posts so you can update them together.

That said, you won't be able to select multiple different posts in the Queue to edit them at the same time. Bulk editing only applies to related posts created together.

Edits to one profile won’t apply to others unless you adjust them directly.

If you need to edit multiple unrelated posts:

  • You’ll need to edit each post individually.
  • If you want to apply similar edits across multiple posts, you can duplicate the post and adjust it for other profiles.

How To Duplicate A Post

Duplicating a post creates a new post pre-filled with the content from the original one.

This allows you to adjust the content, add profiles, or tweak timing without starting from scratch:

  1. Go to the Queue and find the post you want to edit.
  2. Click the 3-dot menu button in the upper-right corner and select "Duplicate".
  3. The Post Editor will open with pre-filled data from the duplicated post.
  4. Select the Category and Social Profile(s) for the new post:
    • You can create the same post for all selected Social Profiles.
    • You can also toggle "Customize per Profile" to create custom content for each profile.
  1. Adjust content and settings:
    • If you decide to customize each individual post, use the collapsible bars to switch between social profiles.
    • You can make edits to the text, media, hashtags, links, or any other component.
    • You can also update Post Timing and Evergreen Recycling options.
    • You can also toggle "Customize per Profile" off to keep the content consistent across profiles, but this will mean losing all custom choices you made for each profile separately.
  2. Click "Save Post" when you're ready to add the new post(s) to the Queue.
