Store And Reuse Media In The Media Library

The Media Library is a powerful tool for storing, organizing, and reusing your media files, making managing content across multiple posts and campaigns easier. You can upload media from your own device, import free images from Pixabay, Unsplash, and Giphy, paste them from a URL, or design them in Canva.

How To Access The Media Library

  1. From the Post Editor:
    • While creating or editing a post, click the “Add Media” button in the Post Editor.
    • Select “Media Library” to access your stored media files and select any you want to reuse in your current post.
  2. From the “Publish” Section:
    • Navigate to the “Publish” section from the top menu of your dashboard.
    • Click on “Media Library” to view and manage all your saved media.

How To Upload Media To The Media Library

  1. Click the “Upload Media” button:
    • Upload content from Your Device: Browse your computer to where your media files are stored, then select the images, videos, and GIFs you want to upload. You can select and upload multiple files at once. 
    • Additional Options:
      • Import Free Images: Choose from Pixabay, Unsplash, or Giphy to add free images directly to your library.
      • Paste from URL: Add media by pasting the URL of an image directly into the Media Library.
      • Design with Canva: Open Canva directly from the Media Library, create your design, and import it into SmarterQueue.
  2. Drag and Drop: You can select multiple files on your device at once or drag and drop them into the library, making it easy to upload large amounts of content.

How To Find Media In The Media Library

Use the filter panel on the left-hand side to display content based on multiple options:

  • Type: Filter by images, videos, or GIFs.
  • Origin: Filter by media uploaded from your computer, web sources, or Canva.
  • Proportions: Filter by wide, square, or tall media.

Filters can be combined, making it easier to find specific types of media in your library.

How To Use Media From The Media Library In Your Posts

  1. Creating or Editing a Post in the Post Editor:
    • While in the Post Editor, click “Add Media”.
    • Select “Media Library” from the available options.
    • Browse your Media Library and select one or multiple media components to add to your post. 
  2. Previewing Media in the Media Library:
    • Browse your Media Library and select one or multiple media components;
    • Click to “Share” in a post to open the Post Editor with the selected media already attached to your future post. 

How To Delete Media From The Media Library

To delete a media file, select it in your Media Library and click the “Delete” option. This will permanently remove the file from your library.

No need to worry, posts containing the media you delete won't be affected.
