Create striking visual designs for your social media posts directly from within SmarterQueue’s Post Editor using Canva. To use this feature, ensure you have a Canva account. If not, you can easily create one.

How To Create A New Canva Design From Within SmarterQueue
- Navigate to the Post Editor by clicking “New Post” in the SmarterQueue Dashboard.
- In the Post Editor, create your post, and click the “Add Media” button.
- Choose the “Design in Canva” option in the “Add Media” pop-up, to launch the Canva integration
- Select a Canva template that matches the platform's image size specifications. Keep in mind that you can customize your media per selected profile when creating your post.
- Design your image using Canva’s extensive library of templates, photos, design elements, graphics, and text.
- Once your design is complete, click “Add to Post” in the upper-right corner of the Canva pop-up. Your design will be added to your post.
📝 Note: Designs created in Canva within SmarterQueue are saved to your “Media Library” and can be accessed for future posts, but they won’t be available on Canva.com.
How To Reuse Canva Designs Created Within SmarterQueue
- In the Post Editor, click the “Add Media” button and select “Media Library”.
- Filter your media library by origin to view only Canva designs.
- Add the saved design to your post and complete your post-editing and publishing steps.
How To Add Existing Designs From Canva To Your SmarterQueue Posts
- In the Post Editor, click the “Add Media” button and select “Design in Canva”.
- Choose a template format that matches the existing design you plan to use.
- Navigate to your designs within the Canva pop-up, select the design you want to import, and click “Add to Post”. If the selected design doesn’t fit perfectly, edit within Canva to adjust it before importing.
- Once the design is imported, finish your post-editing and publishing steps.
📝 Note: Any edits made within SmarterQueue will be reflected in the saved design in your “Media Library” but not on Canva.com.
Common Questions
1. Can I edit a design I created within SmarterQueue?
Designs created in SmarterQueue’s Canva pop-up and added to your posts will be available for reuse in your “Media Library”. That said, you won’t be able to edit them.
2. Why are some of my designs missing from Canva.com?
Designs created in SmarterQueue’s Canva pop-up are not saved to Canva.com. They remain available in your “Media Library” within SmarterQueue.
3. Why are my designs being distorted when importing to SmarterQueue?
Choosing a template size in SmarterQueue that doesn’t match your existing Canva design can result in cropping or distortion. Ensure template sizes align before importing.
4. Why can't I use my video designs from Canva.com?
Currently, SmarterQueue’s Canva integration doesn’t support importing video content from Canva.com. Selected videos will be imported as static images.
5. Why is the back button not working?
The Canva integration may cause issues with the back button in your browser. Use SmarterQueue’s menu links for navigation instead.
6. Why can't I see my brand kit in the Canva pop-up?
Due to a limitation in Canva’s API, Brand Kit styles/colors/fonts are not available in SmarterQueue’s Canva pop-up. Create designs on Canva.com if Brand Kit access is needed.
