Trash, Restore, Or Permanently Delete Posts

The Trash section of your Queue helps you manage posts you’ve chosen to remove, whether temporarily or permanently. Once a post is trashed, it moves to "Trash", where you can restore or permanently delete it if it’s no longer needed.

How To Trash A Post

To delete a post and move it to the “Deleted” section:

  1. Navigate to the Upcoming section of your Queue.
  2. Locate the post you want to delete.
  3. Click the 3-dot button on the post and select the Delete option.
  4. Alternatively, use the checkboxes to select multiple posts and delete them in one go. When deleting multiple posts, you’ll receive a confirmation prompt - click Delete Posts to proceed.

The post(s) will now move to the Trash section. From there, you can restore content to the Queue or Drafts if needed. 

For posts with Variations, deleting the main post removes all its Variations. Additionally, Evergreen posts that are deleted will no longer be recycled in the Queue.


How To Restore A Trashed Post

To restore a post from the Trash section:

  1. Navigate to the Trash section of your Queue.
  2. Locate the post you want to restore.
  3. Click the 3-dot button on the post and select Restore.

The post will open in the Post Editor, where you can make edits and choose whether to restore it to the Queue or send it to Drafts for further editing. Any Variations associated with the post will also be restored.


How To Permanently Delete A Post

To permanently delete a post:

  1. Navigate to the Trash section of your Queue.
  2. Find the post you want to permanently delete.
  3. Click the 3-dot button on the post and select the "Permanently Delete" button.

Common Questions

1. Can I recover a post after permanent deletion?

No, once a post is permanently deleted, it cannot be restored. Be sure to review the post before permanent deletion.

2. What happens to Variations when I delete a post?

If you delete a post with Variations, all its Variations will also be removed from the Queue or Drafts.

3. Does deleting an Evergreen post affect its future cycles?

Yes, deleting an Evergreen post removes it entirely from the recycling process. It will no longer appear in the Queue for future publishing.
