🕹️ Use Comments To Share Feedback On Posts

You can use Comments for personal notes as a single User, or collaborate with your team by adding more Users to your plan with the Users add-on.

Comments let you and your team discuss posts directly inside SmarterQueue. This keeps feedback connected to your content so everyone stays aligned without switching between email or chat tools.

What Are Comments in SmarterQueue?

You can add and view comments in two places inside your SmarterQueue dashboard:

In the Post Editor

When creating or editing a post, you’ll see a Comments panel on the right-hand side, next to "Timing", "Preview", and "AI Assistant". Use this space to add context or feedback while drafting.

Any comments you add here apply to all posts being created at the same time across the selected social profiles. This is true whether or not you’ve customized your post content per profile or not. The comments are shared across the entire set of related posts.

In the Queue

Each Post Card in the Queue displays a small comment icon and counter, so you can quickly see when feedback has already been added.

To open the full view, click the comment icon on the Post Card directly or the three-dot menu button and choose "Preview Post". This shows all related versions of the post together in the preview panel. You can expand each version separately on the left-hand side, while the comments for the group appear on the right-hand side. From here, you can both review existing comments and add new ones.

Visibility And Notifications

Comments are Workspace-specific and visible to all collaborators:

  • Owners, Admins, and Editors can both edit posts and leave comments.
  • Clients cannot edit posts but can add comments and replies, making it easy for them to provide feedback without touching the draft.

Whenever a new comment or reply is added, everyone in the Workspace sees an in-product notification. Owners, Admins, and Editors also receive an email notification.

📝 Note: Comments can’t be edited or deleted yet. At the moment, they can only be added and replied to. Support for editing and deleting comments is coming soon.

How To Work With Comments

Think of comments as part of your collaboration flow:

  1. Draft – As you create content in the Post Editor, add notes or questions in the Comments panel. If the post isn’t ready to be scheduled yet, save it to "Drafts" so teammates can review and provide feedback before it moves forward.
  2. Review – In the Queue, look for posts marked with the comment icon. Open the preview panel to see all related versions on the left and the comments thread on the right. This makes it easy to check feedback and continue the discussion.
  3. Collaborate – Editors and Admins can refine posts based on the comments. Clients can contribute their input without needing edit rights, helping to keep feedback and give you the go-ahead all in one place.
  4. Finalize – Once everyone’s feedback has been addressed, move the post out of Drafts, schedule it, or even have it recycle. Comments provide a record of the discussion, so you know the content has been reviewed before publishing.

This makes Comments the first step in per-post collaboration with your team, keeping all feedback tied to the content while we continue building more structured approval options.

Common Questions

1. Can I tag specific teammates in comments?

Not yet. Tagging with @mentions is not currently supported.

2. Can I turn off notifications?

Not at this time. All collaborators see in-product notifications, and Owners, Admins, and Editors also receive an email notification.

3. Do comments carry over when I duplicate a post?

No. Comments are linked only to the original post. When duplicating, you're starting a new post (or post family) from scratch, so the existing comments will not be brought over.

4. Is there an approval button to sign off on posts?

Not yet. Comments are meant for discussion and feedback. While they’re often used as the first step to align on a post, there isn’t currently an approval button to officially sign off on content.
