Assigning the right user roles helps you control what each person can see and do inside your SmarterQueue organization, whether they’re creating posts, reviewing analytics, or managing settings.

What Are User Roles?

User roles define what each person can access and manage inside your SmarterQueue organization. They help you assign the right permissions for creating posts, reviewing analytics, managing profiles, or handling billing and settings.

SmarterQueue has four user roles:

  • Owner – Full access to all account settings, billing, users, and workspaces
  • Admin – Can manage workspaces and users, but not billing or business settings
  • Editor – Can create and manage content, but can’t access team or workspace settings
  • Client – View-only access to scheduled content and analytics

Roles are set at the organization level, and users can be invited to one or more Workspaces.

πŸ“ Note: Editors and Clients can only access Workspaces they’ve been added to. Admins and Owners can access all Workspaces in the organization.

Common Questions

1. Why can’t my user create posts?

They likely have been assigned the Client role, which is view-only. Change their role to Editor or higher.

2. Can I have multiple Owners?

No. Each organization has one Owner. Only the Owner can manage Admins.

3. Can Admins manage each other?

No. Admins can only manage Editors and Clients. Only the Owner can manage Admins.

4. Do users see all Workspaces?

The only users who can see all Workspaces by default are Admins and Owners. Editors and Clients only see Workspaces they’ve been added to.

5. What happens when someone tries to access something they don’t have permission for?

They’ll either see the feature as grayed out or be redirected. They won’t see an error message.
