SmarterQueue accepts a variety of payment methods to make managing your subscription easy. You can update your payment details at any time through your account settings.

Supported Payment Methods

SmarterQueue supports a variety of payment methods to make managing your subscription easy.

All SmarterQueue subscription payments are handled securely by our payment gateway, PayPal Braintree. The payment gateway will take your credit card details directly from our secure form, and send them to your bank or credit card provider for verification and payment authorization. At SmarterQueue we have no access to your payment details.

Here’s what you can use to pay for your subscription:

  1. Credit & Debit Cards: We accept Visa and Mastercard worldwide.
  2. PayPal: Your PayPal account must be linked to an active funding source (bank account, debit, or credit card).
  3. Apple Pay: Your Apple Pay account must be linked to a valid credit or debit card. If Apple Pay isn’t showing up as an option, make sure you’re using Safari or an iOS device.
  4. American Express: SmarterQueue does not accept direct payments from American Express cards. However, you can still use your Amex card by adding it to:
    • PayPal – Link your Amex card to your PayPal account and then configure PayPal as your payment method.
    • Apple Pay – Add your Amex card to Apple Pay and select Apple Pay as your payment method.

Changing Your Payment Method

You can update your payment details at any time through your SmarterQueue account:

  1. Open Subscription Management:
    • Click on the Settings gear icon (⚙️) and select "Subscription Management".
    • Scroll down and click "Change Payment Method".
  1. Select or Add a Payment Method:
    • You’ll be brought to the Checkout page, pre-filled with your current plan details.
    • Under "Payment Details", you’ll see any previously used payment methods. Your current payment method will be highlighted in green.
  1. Choose How to Pay:
    • To update your credit card, fill in the card information directly in the Payment Details form.
    • To use PayPal, Apple Pay, or American Express, click "here" at the top of the form. This will reload the form with additional options:
      • PayPal: Select PayPal and log into your PayPal account when the popup appears. Then choose a way to pay from your available sources, and click "Continue".
      • Apple Pay: Select Apple Pay to open the popup and confirm using Face ID or Touch ID when prompted.
  1. Confirm Your Changes:
    • Save your new payment details.
    • Your next payment will be processed using the updated method.

How to Resolve Payment Issues

If your payment fails, SmarterQueue will notify you and attempt to process the payment again.

To retry the payment yourself, perform these steps:

  1. Check Your Payment Method:
    • Ensure your card details or PayPal login are up to date.
    • Confirm that your card hasn’t expired or been restricted by your bank.
  2. Retry the Payment:
    • Click on the "Settings" gear icon (⚙️) and select "Subscription Management".
    • Go to "Change Payment Method” to reselect the payment method and retry the payment.
  3. Contact Your Bank or Payment Provider:
    • If the payment still fails, contact your bank to confirm there are no holds or issues with your card.
    • If you’re using PayPal, ensure that your PayPal account has sufficient funds and is in good standing.
  4. Switch Payment Methods:
    • If your payment method isn’t working, try switching to another option (e.g., from PayPal to a credit card).
    • Follow the steps under "Changing Your Payment Method" to update your details.
